Is It Really Summer?!!!
So schools out for the Summer!!, yeah that only applies to my husband, son, and daughter.
As you know most daycare like to stay open to accommodate the schedules for the parents that still have to work (the ones that don't have spouses that work for the State and are only twelve month employees but are prorated for the summer months).. Do I sound jealous?
YES, as much as I love my daycare I also value my sleep and when I see Roy my husband sleeping in or my son Joshua waking up late because he went to bed just a few hours earlier then I have to awake then... yes I am a little more than a little jealous. While my daughter Ashlin off for the summer school wise she still works everyday like me and I told myself that I was going to be completely honest so I must admit that it's nice to not be the only person waking up super early in the mornings to get ready for work. The cool thing is due to her schedule she has to wake up first, she starts earlier. I laugh now that's all going to chance here come July, shes leaving to go to Maine. LUCKY! Shes our little world traveler. Korea, Thailand, California, New Mexico, jealous, NO.. okay just a tiny bit only cause who wouldn't want to go to all those cool places. I'm way more excited that she gets to go and be blessed by beautiful people, different food, yum the food!, and experiences. What a wonderful opportunity.
As much as I love having my whole family here during the Summer, it sometimes can pose as a challenge to meet the needs of everyone.
The space I use is limited as it is and most of our daycare has taken over the house using spaces that really I didn't think I would have needed to but surprised me that I do, so that means places that are normally used for the children in my care are now used for my personal family members.
Its funny, I want the family around more and when they are I say SHH the baby is sleeping.
It's also hard because everyone has opinions on how the children in the daycare should behave or what the agenda for the day should be or what lunch is and how they should nap or and really the list goes on. I know that they are coming from a healthy place. It's also hard to tell parents that we going in a different direction how much harder is it to tell your own family.
I'm so blessed to have God on my side directing my path. Without his help I would be struggling much more than I do and it is so easy to forget that I have to call on HIS spirit for help other wise I would drown.
Blessings

THIS IS MY FIRST!
Hey All,
Here it is, my first BLOG! To be honest I'm scared. Yup, what are people going to think of me post my life out there for all to read and see. I'm really no different for any of you just thought it would be fun to let you take a journey with us as we travel down this crazy path. Come on lets go!
Lets start with some background.
My husband Roy and I have been married for 20 years and have two wild and crazy children Ashlin and Joshua. We also have a dog his name Roku, which means six in Japanese and a story for another day.
The idea for this blog is to lay it all out there. It is the stories that make our lives move in different directions or find the same paths.
I was what some people call brave and others CRAZY, when I decided to start a day care out of my home. The truth of the matter is I LOVE IT!!
Our lives are now intertwined with theirs and so wonderful that we wouldn't have it any other way!
Welcome to come with us and see craft's that we make and projects that we do (something I never thought I would do but I enjoy/love Pinterest). We will have stories of love, laughter and healing. Are you ready?
See you soon!
Blessings
